General Knowledge Current Affairs Daily / Weekly / Monthly Updates

Current Affairs covers important national and international developments, including government decisions, appointments, awards, sports, summits, schemes, reports, indexes, defence updates, science and technology, economy, environment, and places in news. This chapter is designed to guide students in building a systematic approach to Current Affairs preparation by converting daily, weekly and monthly updates into exam-ready notes, revision points and practice questions.

What is Current Affairs?

Current Affairs refers to recent and important events happening in India and around the world. It includes government decisions, appointments, awards, sports results, international summits, reports, indexes, schemes, economy updates, science developments, defence news, environment updates and important places in news.

Current Affairs is different from Static GK. Static GK remains mostly unchanged, while Current Affairs must be refreshed regularly. For example, national symbols are static, but latest appointments, latest awards, latest reports and latest index rankings are current.

Simple idea: Static GK answers “what is already established?” Current Affairs answers “what happened recently?”
